Founded in January 2001, Irvine, California-based DigiCrypto Inc. created a solid foundation for its steady future growth. It assembled a top class management team, board of directors and board of advisors consisting of world leading security software experts, successful hi-tech entrepreneurs, and smart card industry veterans.
By mid 2001 deliveries had begun of it’s now highly respected PKI Middleware, DCcrypto. Since then the software has been continuously enhanced with version 5 being released in June 2004. DCcrypto supports many of the widely used smart cards including Gemplus (France) and G&D (Germany).To date over 100,000 copies have been shipped. The BioSC, the biometric smart card solutions, were added to the product line in April 2002 and the USB smart card readers were introduced in early 2003.
In late 2002 DigiCrypto established Irvine Tech as a subsidiary in ShenZhen, China and since then has signed contracts signed with leading Chinese smart card buyers and system integrators, including a number of leading Chinese banks, MingHua Inc., a smart card manufacturer and WatchData, listed as one of the Worldwide Top 10 Smart Card Vendors by Card Technology. Other Customers include Motorola, Jiangnan Keyou Inc., a system integrator, CSI Ltd, a Chunghwa Telecom Company (managing the biggest PKI project in Taiwan), and GIT Inc. (managing the National ID project in Dubai , U.A.E.)
